40″ Hex Grip Arm with Big Handle

Have you ever tried to use a grip arm as a mini boom by mounting a light fixture at the end of it, only to find gravity pulling it downwards because the set screw wasn’t strong to hold up its weight? We’ll now there’s a simple solution.

Kupo just introduced an exciting innovation in grip arm design. At the end of our 40″ grip arm, you will find a baby hex pin with six milled flat surfaces. So now you can mount your light fixtures or accessories on the end of your grip arm like a mini boom and they won’t rotate due to the set-screw of that fixture or accessory, locking onto one of the sides of the hex pin.

Cinegear L.A. 2012

Out of all the trade shows where Kupo exhibits, Cinegear has to be one of my favorites. It is a two day event held this year, June 1st & 2nd, 2012, on the Paramount Pictures lot where we happened to be located on street called Greenwich Village. Being a New Yorker, it plays with your head to see reproductions of the neighborhoods that I grew up in. Cinegear features the latest top gear for cinematographers and video professionals. It is a smaller show than NAB, but being outside in the California sunshine playing with all the toys a DP dreams about, and talking with industry pros makes for a unique experience. If you would like more information about cinegear, just head over to www.cinegearexpo.com. If you’ll be in the L.A. area next year we welcome you to come buy and visit our booth. See you next year!

I would like to thank Mole-Richardson Co. for lending us some lights to dress up our stands as well as inviting us to their 85th Anniversary celebration. From being a pioneer in using incandescent lighting to replace the less efficient Carbon-Arc lights to Peter Mole’s Academy Awards, the first one for creating the Fresnel Spotlight, I wish Mole-Richardson Co. another 85 years of incredible lighting innovation that has lit up Hollywood and abroad since 1927.
